FLYING FLOOR FMVSS 214, 201AND EURO-NCAP
The Flying Floor is used to conduct tests according to FMVSS 214, 201 and EURO-NCAP.
The mobile platform is designed in a way that allows driving the test vehicles against a fi xed barrier at any desired angle.
The platform‘s basic frame consists of two symmetrical steel tube joist frames and two guide units. The inspection area contains an acrylic glass sheet that is screwed into the basic frame and is covered with a polycarbonate plate.
This renders the inspection area very stiff and less susceptible to wear and tear. The remaining platform area contains screwed-in multi-layer plates, which in turn are covered by PTFE plates. All PTFE plates are grounded on the frame in order to dissipate the electrostatic charge.
For the braking system you can choose between two solutions:
Hydraulic dampers or buckling tubes
ERNST will evaluate your customized solution after an intensive analysis of your current test situation
